Standing St Louis Spare Ribs

Try this simple Standing Ribs technique and soon you'll be serving up tender and moist barbecue pork ribs, enough to feed a crowd using just a standard size grill!  -BBQ Pit Boys

Recipe:
 8-12lbs Pork "Spare" Ribs
Your favorite Pork Spices
Broth
Your favorite Barbecue Sauce
Onions
Bamboo Wood Skewers

Wood chunks or chips for added smoke (optional)

All you need to get started is fresh Pork Spare Ribs, and some of your favorite BBQ sauce to add just before serving.
Preheat your grill to 225-250f.
Wash and dry ribs. Then trim and remove the membrane.
Apply seasoning to both sides of the slabs. .
Place in a grated pan on the grill, opposite the coals.
Add Onions and Broth to the pan as shown.

BBQ at 225-250f with closed grill lid for 3-4 hours.
Baste the ribs several times during the Q.
Mop with BBQ Sauce during the last hour.

To keep from over cooking, remove the racks when they pull apart easily, with meat still attached to the bone.
Serve with your favorite barbecue sauce.
